Present Art Studio is a private studio based in Vancouver, BC. At our little studio, we follow our passion for making art and connecting with people through art. We believe in the magic of making and losing ourselves in the process of making through our hands. At Present Art Studio, we have deeply embraced the idea of supporting local art and artists by becoming their hosts and supporting creative visions for teaching diverse art classes and workshops.

Introduction to Botanical Handmade Papermaking

Love sustainability and creativity? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll craft your own eco-friendly handmade paper!
Throughout this workshop, participants will learn how to craft distinctive sheets of handmade paper using recycled paper scraps. They will experiment with laminating and incorporating fresh botanicals, such as flowers, leaves, and petals (dried and wet) into paper. This workshop will provide a low-tech foundation in papermaking that is infinitely expandable for participants with limited access to studio facilities. It is also non-toxic and can even be implemented into educational programs with young children.
Resin Art Series
Resin, Collage, & Painting on Wood

In this fun and hands-on workshop, you will learn various resin art techniques through experimenting with multiple combinations of materials and mediums such as acrylic paint, inks, and collage pieces with resin on a wood panel.
You will be provided with wood panel and guided to create your own vision; then you will learn how to apply resin and inks over your collage painting to create a glossy effect on your work.

Whether it’s your own furry friend or a loved one’s companion, you’ll learn techniques for capturing your pet’s unique personality, from soulful eyes to playful expressions, using rich oil colours. Send us a cherished photo or several options for us to print as your reference, and we’ll guide you step-by-step in creating a heartfelt pet portrait to treasure for years to come. All skill levels welcome!
Artist Consultation and Portfolio Making
Present Art Studio offers one-on-one consultation sessions (60 or 30 minutes) to professional and emergent artists. In these sessions, you will receive constructive and individualized critiques and feedback on your current artworks or ways of developing current/future art projects. These intimate and one-on-one sessions will be specially tailored according to the needs of artists.
Potential topics may include: feedback and criticism, creating/developing a body of work/portfolio, and ways of approaching galleries.
